Q: I know that the big storyline in Washington is Robert Griffin III’s health, but should Redskins fans be concerned about that defense? Do you think it will be improved this season? -- Travis (Oklahoma)

A: The Redskins' defense should be better for no other reason than this, Travis: Key players are back at key positions. Last season, linebacker Brian Orakpo essentially missed the season -- he’s back. The Redskins were decimated by injuries at safety -- the team went out and drafted capable safeties such as Bacarri Rambo, Phillip Thomas and David Amerson, and gets back the ones who were out. There’s no reason this defense shouldn’t be improved, but it’s up to the team to prove it in September. My sense is, it will be better.

Q: Hi Adam! I know that you can't put too much stock into preseason games, but I thought EJ Manuel looked awfully composed in Buffalo's preseason opener at Indianapolis. He seemed to have a real grasp of the new hurry-up offense that Buffalo wants to run, and also looked like a natural leader. Could he be the next young up-and-comer at the QB position? -- Zak (New York)
