Big 12 Week 12 picks: Road trips upcoming for Oklahoma, TCU

The Sooners expect to celebrate another road victory this week when they play lowly Kansas. Kevin Jairaj/USA TODAY Sports

Here are the Big 12 picks for Week 11 from my colleague Jake Trotter and me (all times ET). Visit our college football PickCenter page for additional information on these games and many more.

Texas at West Virginia (noon, ESPN)

Trotter: This is a huge game for both teams, as West Virginia wants to keep its Big 12 title game hopes alive, while Texas needs this win to assure itself of bowl eligibility. Quarterback will be the difference in a close one, and West Virginia has the massive edge in Will Grier. -- West Virginia 17, Texas 16

Khan: I'm with Jake; Grier gives the Mountaineers a big edge here. Plus, West Virginia is at home. Texas gets Connor Williams back at left tackle, which is a plus, but it won't be enough to outrun Dana Holgorsen's crew. -- West Virginia 27, Texas 17

TCU at Texas Tech (noon, FS1)

Trotter: No Darius Anderson, and maybe no Kenny Hill? This game is sure to get interesting. But the Horned Frogs will do enough to hold on and all but punch their ticket to Arlington. -- TCU 31, Texas Tech 30

Khan: Texas Tech hasn't beaten a Big 12 team at home this season and hasn't beaten a ranked team in 14 tries. If Hill is out, then all bets are off, otherwise TCU takes care of business. -- TCU 41, Texas Tech 27

Iowa State at Baylor (2:30 p.m.)

Trotter: Though their Big 12 title run is over, the Cyclones can still win nine games for the first time in 17 years. Matt Campbell will still have his team ready to play coming off two heartbreaking defeats. -- Iowa State 33, Baylor 14

Khan: The Cyclones actually have a better road record (3-1) than they do at home so far this season (3-3). Their plus-six turnover margin away from home is a big reason for that, one area where Baylor has struggled this year (minus-nine for the season). -- Iowa State 38, Baylor 20

Kansas State at Oklahoma State (3:30 p.m., ESPN2)

Trotter: The Cowboys are still alive in the Big 12 title picture. They'll take care of their own business while hoping Texas Tech can spring the upset. -- Oklahoma State 35, Kansas State 17

Khan: The Pokes haven't lost at home to Kansas State since 1999. This potent group will keep that winning streak going. -- Oklahoma State 48, Kansas State 20

Oklahoma at Kansas (3:30 p.m., ESPN)

Trotter: Struggling in Lawrence would damage OU's reputation in the minds of the CFP selection committee. Baker Mayfield won't let that happen. -- Oklahoma 47, Kansas 13

Khan: With every moment mattering more as the Sooners zero in on the playoff, they'll leave no doubt here. -- Oklahoma 62, Kansas 10

Trotter: 48-17

Khan: 49-16
