A significant number of relievers remain unsigned, from right-hander Joe Blanton to left-handers Jerry Blevins, Boone Logan and Travis Wood. For Blevins and Logan, the expectation or hope of a multiyear deal still exists, perhaps fueled by deals like the St. Louis Cardinals' four-year, $30.5 million contract with Brett Cecil, or the Colorado Rockies' three-year, $19 million investment in Mike Dunn.
But a question that is gaining momentum among teams and agents is: Which clubs are actually positioned to spend bigger dollars on a reliever this late in the winter?
