Eddie Goldman is shutting it down.
The five-star defensive tackle from Washington (D.C.) Friendship won't host any more recruiters until he makes his announcement on national signing day, according to his mother. Sharon Davis also said via a text message to ESPN on Friday that the family is “VERY close” to making a final decision.
“We are not accepting any more phone calls or home visits from the recruiters,” Davis texted. “We have everything we need to help us make that decision, so we're going to marinate until (national signing day)”
Davis said last week that Goldman, ranked No. 10 in the ESPNU 150 and No. 1 among defensive tackles, would not take any other official visits.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound Goldman is down to Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and Miami.
