Introducing the class: Bradley Bozeman

Editor's note: This is a series introducing Alabama's 2013 recruiting class that will run through signing day.

The first player to become part of Alabama’s 2013 recruiting class was in-state offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman. He never considered anywhere else. Now, a year and a half later, he’s as firm as ever. Despite suffering a torn ACL during his senior season, Bozeman expects to be 100 percent when he enrolls at UA over the summer.

Q: What made you commit to Alabama?

A: It was No. 1 in my book. I’ve always grown up an Alabama fan. I always loved Alabama, but I never took it as I’m going from a fan’s perspective. I’m going for what’s best for me, and it happened to be that Alabama was the best for me, from the offense to the coaching staff to the facilities, just everything. It’s just top of the line.

Q: What has life been like since your commitment?

A: It’s been great. I can’t complain any. There’s millions of kids that would love to be in my position. Even with the torn ACL and all else, it’s still amazing. I’m blessed.

Q: When did you first meet Coach Saban? What was that like?

A: It was A-Day, the spring of my 9th grade year. We just shook hands, had a little small talk. He talked about his lake house and told me about the game. It was very intimidating. I was kind of scared after seeing him with the media and how he tears them up. You’re kind of scared to say anything, ask any stupid questions.

Q: What’s your favorite Alabama memory to this point?

A: There’s been so many. It was probably my first night game, walking into Bryant-Denny against Florida. That was amazing. We beat Florida. It was great.

Q: What’s your goal when you get to Alabama?

A: Compete for a position. Be the best I can be, and beat out anybody I can to get to where I got to go and help my teammates along the way.

Q: Do you have a favorite play or memory from high school?

A: It was probably last year’s state championship game. In the last two minutes of the game, we drove down and scored two touchdowns and won the game.
