GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Gators hosted several top 2013 prospects for the LSU and South Carolina games. With Missouri heading to the Swamp on Saturday, Florida will bring in a host of underclassmen for this SEC showdown.
Watch List linebacker Raekwon McMillan (Hinesville, Ga./Liberty Co.), a 2014 five-star candidate, will be making the trip down to Gainesville. McMillan has a top five of Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia, USC and Alabama with the Buckeyes currently on top. He doesn't expect to make a decision until the Under Armour All-America game in 2014, so Florida will have time to work its way back into the picture for the talented linebacker. This visit could go a long way for the Gators.
McMillan said via text message that he is looking forward to seeing how the Florida linebackers perform Saturday.
The 6-foot-6, 274-pound McDermott has offers from Auburn, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Ohio State. Dawson, meanwhile, has offers from his two childhood favorite teams, Florida and Florida State. Dawson has been to several Florida games so far, and the Gators appear to be the team to beat.
Defensve tackle CeCe Jefferson (Glen St. Mary, Fla./Baker Co.), a 2015 prospect, will be making the short trip to Gainesville. Though only a sophomore, Jefferson has received offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Clemson and South Carolina among others. He has attended other games at Florida this season and early on, it looks as if Jefferson will be a battle between UF and FSU.
In addition to the underclassmen expected to attend, 2013 OL commit Tyler Moore (Clearwater, Fla./Countryside), a Nebraska transfer, will be taking his official visit to Florida. Along with Moore, other Florida commits expected to attend include safety Nick Washington (Jacksonville, Fla./Trinity Christian), safety Keanu Neal (Bushnell, Fla./South Sumter) and wide receiver Ahmad Fulwood (Jacksonville, Fla./Bishop Kenny).
