Under Armour week in review

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The future of Florida’s football team was on display Thursday night as Team Blur defeated Team Highlight 49-16 in the Under Armour All-America game.

The solid week of practice for the six Florida commits resulted in all six players starting for Team Blur. Here’s a closer look at how each player performed this week:

Brian Poole

The Florida defensive back commit capped off his solid week of practice with a great performance in the game. Poole set the record for the longest play in the game’s history when he picked off a pass and returned it 93 yards for the score. Poole showcased his physical play all week and did so again on Thursday night.

Colin Thompson

Don’t let the stats fool you. Thompson might have only recorded one reception for 16 yards in the game, but he was very effective as a tight end. He showed excellent footwork and technique in his blocking and was open on several routes. The ball just wasn’t thrown his way. During the week of practice Thompson displayed soft hands and ran precise routes throughout the game.
