Florida wide receiver Latroy Pittman (6-1/198, Citra, Fla./North Marion) was on hand to watch the Gators win 54-32 in a sloppy game over Football Championship Subdivision opponent Furman on Saturday afternoon.
Despite the slow start, Pittman said he enjoyed his visit to The Swamp.
“They started off slow, but they picked it up and came away with the victory, so it was a good visit,” Pittman said.
Redshirt sophomore receiver Andre Debose had a career day with three receptions for 151 yards and three touchdowns.
Pittman took notice of the vertical passing attack displayed by the Gators.
“It was nice to see them throw down the field more,” he said. “They really haven’t done that much this season, so that was cool.”
Florida’s passing game has struggled for a majority of the season, as Florida’s leading wide receiver has only 19 catches through 11 games. That doesn’t change Pittman's feelings about the Gators.
“I’m still 100-percent committed to Florida," he said, "and I won’t be visiting any other schools.”
