GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida has had two successful junior days, and with 10 verbal commitments the Gators got off to a blazing start in building their 2013 class.
Spring football practice begins on Wednesday, and over the next few weeks Florida will have a chance to showcase its program to some of the top prospects in the country. This list is sure to grow throughout the week, but here is an early look at some of the prospects who are expected to attend UF spring practice this week.
The Gators, who are holding a coaches clinic on Friday and Saturday, are planning to bring in some top out-of-state offensive linemen. Brandon Kublanow (Marietta, Ga./Walton), Isaac Rochell (McDonough, Ga./Eagles Landing) and Josh Outlaw (Lithonia, Ga./Martin Luther King) are all expected to watch practice this weekend. Offensive line will be a priority for the 2013 recruiting class and this is a chance for the three linemen to get more acquainted with new Florida offensive line coach Tim Davis.
Five-star wide receiver Ahmad Fulwood (Jacksonville, Fla./Bishop Kenny) will visit Florida again with his friend and Florida safety commit Nick Washington (Jacksonville, Fla./Trinity Christian). Fulwood and Washington also visited Florida on March 2. Four-star receiver Richard Benjamin (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Tech) will be making the short trip from Tampa to Gainesville to take in practice on Saturday, too.
Defensive back Mackensie Alexander (Immokalee, Fla./Immokalee), who recently decommitted from Tennessee, confirmed that he will be in attendance to watch the Gators practice on Saturday. For Alexander, this will be his third trip to Gainesville.
Linebacker Alex Anzalone (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyoming Area), who admittedly grew up a Florida fan because his dad went to medical school at UF, will be visiting Gainesville this weekend as well. The ESPNU Watch List prospect, 6-foot-3, 224 pounds, has gotten bigger and bigger, and he's seen his recruitment do the same. He's up to 31 offers.
Florida committed linebacker James Hearns (Tallahassee, Fla./Lincoln) and defensive tackle Caleb Brantley (Crescent City, Fla./Crescent City) will also be in attendance. Florida wide receiver commit Rodney Adams (St. Petersburg, Fla./Lakewood) will join his former high school teammate and Florida defensive end signee Dante Fowler Jr. on Wednesday to watch UF's first spring practice.
Gators running back commit Adam Lane (Winter Haven, Fla./Winter Haven) is planning on attending as well, but is not 100 percent sure he will be able to make the trip.
