PLANT CITY, Fla. -- Through the next few weeks GatorNation will have a series of Q&As with Florida's incoming freshmen. Next up is Seffner (Fla.) Armwood running back Matt Jones, who recently qualified academically and will enroll in June at Florida for Summer B.

GN: What number will you wear next season?

Jones: Josh Evans had No. 24, but he changed his number to 9, so I will stick with my high school number -- 24.

GN: Who are you planning to room with when you get to Florida?

Jones: I have no idea who I'll room with. I'm trying to room with Dante Fowler, though.

GN: What kind of workout or training program are you doing to prepare?

Jones: I've been just lifting and running with my teammates from my school. I've definitely been lifting with Josh Grady, who goes to Vanderbilt. I've been doing his conditioning test that they do. Basically I've been doing the Vanderbilt workout. It's a great workout. I'm about 227 pounds right now. I'm 100 percent healthy. My knee feels better, my thigh feels better. I feel good.

GN: What are you looking forward to the most when you get to Florida?

Jones: I'm just trying to buy into everything. I am going to be a freshman, but in my mind I'm trying to come in there with a senior mindset. So I'm just buying into everything they are doing there.

GN: What are your expectations as a freshman at Florida?

Jones: I just want to get some playing time and get a feel for the game. I'm not trying to be the starter or anything like that. I'm going to work my butt off to be a starter, but if it don't happen, it don't happen. I just want to get some playing time and get a feeling of the game and just stay humble.

GN: Tell Florida fans something about you that most people don't know.

Jones: I guess I would say that everybody thinks I'm a big person, but I'm really a gentle teddy bear.
