TAMPA, Fla. -- Five-star defensive back Vernon Hargreaves III (Tampa, Fla./Hillborough), who named a top five list of schools on Friday via Twitter, said on Saturday his list of top schools is in order.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound cornerback tweeted: "Top 5 ) 1.Florida 2.Clemson 3.Vanderbilt 4.Miami 5.Notre Dame , USF is not in my top 5 but still considering!"
"Yeah my list is in order," Hargreaves said. "I like all of those schools. I guess there is no definite reason I like all of them, I guess it's just where I feel like I have an opportunity to play and have a good time. I like the coaching staffs, the facilities and the players.
"Really it's all the same reasons with each of my top schools. These programs really aren't that much different. They all win, they are all winning programs. Same facilities, different colors -- that's how I see it."
The No. 4-ranked player in the country, who is competing with his high school teammates at the Sling-n-Shoot 7-on-7 tournament at USF, also holds offers from USC, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and numerous other schools.
Hargreaves said he is planning on making his decision in the near future and he already knows of two of his five official visits he will take.
"Definitely Notre Dame and definitely Florida," he said. "The other three I don't know yet. I'll probably make my decision in a month or so."
Hargreaves, who is the No. 1-ranked cornerback in the country, will play in the 2013 Under Armour All-America game in St. Petersburg, Fla.
