GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Keyon Brown (Wauchula, Fla./Hardee County) left Florida's Friday Night Lights without an offer, but it just seems like a matter of time.
The 6-foot-2, 227-pound defensive end did, however, take in the Gators' football program for the first time.
"It was actually fun," he said. "I didn't know what to expect when I first got here. We went on a tour and the competition was pretty fun.
"I went through the locker room and stuff like that. I didn't know what that looked like. We didn't go too into detail. I didn't learn too, too much."
The 2014 standout currently has offers from Miami, UCF and Louisiana-Lafayette, but both Florida and Florida State are primed to enter the discussion in a few weeks.
"They said that Coach [D.J.] Eliot is going to come down to my games and he is probably going to be the one to offer me," Brown said of Florida State.
"Florida's coach said he is going to come down to one of my games and offer me, too."
With his summer tour completed, Brown has begun to eye a big junior campaign. He's set a personal goal of at least two sacks per game and, as expected, wants to take his team to a district championship.
"I think I might be done," Brown said of visits for the rest of the summer. "It is getting to be about time to practice."
