GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida coach Billy Donovan said Tuesday that redshirt junior guard Mike Rosario is still doubtful for Thursday's game against Florida State with a lower back strain.
Donovan said Rosario would not participate in the light workout the Gators had scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, and what Rosario is able to do during Wednesday's practice will determine if he misses his second consecutive game.
"He's out today. He's not going to practice today," Donovan said. "If he can't do anything tomorrow in practice, then I'm probably not going to play him. He'd have to at least show me some things that he can at least get back."
Rosario is averaging 9.4 points and 2.3 rebounds per game off the bench. Donovan said Rosario complained of pain radiating down his leg on Sunday, and he did not play against Mississippi Valley State on Monday.
Redshirt freshman forward Cody Larson also missed the game against Mississippi Valley State with strep throat, and Donovan said he wasn't sure of Larson's status for the FSU game, either. Larson has played 66 minutes in nine games and is averaging 1.3 points and 1.1 rebounds per game.
The 12th-ranked Gators (9-2) have a two-game winning streak over the Seminoles (8-3). FSU had won three of the previous four meetings.
