GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Dominique Brown (Ocala, Fla./Trinity Catholic) isn't shy about letting anyone know what his favorite school is. And at Florida's Friday Night Lights, he was where he wants to be.
Competing against some top competition, the challenge, Brown said, is what he enjoyed the most.
"I loved it," he said. "I think it was well organized with the best of the best. I had fun out there covering all the wide receivers, and I always love Florida camps. I always love going there. I had fun."
Brown hasn't gotten an offer from Florida just yet, but it doesn't appear it will be much longer. If the Gators tender comes, it won't be long before he accepts it.
"I was talking to coach [Brian] White, and he told me that he will be down there at my first game and that he was going to offer me," said the 5-foot-11, 183-pound defensive back. "He said he wanted to get me up there as soon as possible. I was like, 'Yes sir.' He said, 'This is where I want you to be at.' I said, 'Me too.' I am looking forward to it."
When asked if he would commit then, he added, "Yes, I would."
The Gators' head coach had his hands full, Brown knew. So even though he couldn't talk to Will Muschamp in detail, he did have a brief chat with the second-year head coach.
"I got to speak to him a little bit, but I didn't really get to see him much," Brown said.
Brown confirmed that he is done taking trips to camps for the rest of the summer and will begin preparing for his junior season.
