TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Wide receiver Artavis Scott (Tarpon Springs, Fla./East Lake), a 2014 prospect, was one of the top wideouts to compete at the Jimbo Fisher Camp on Thursday. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound athlete says he has enjoyed his experience in Tallahassee.
"I love it," Scott said. "It's a home town, it's in Florida, they have the best weather and I love the facilities. I'll probably be back to see some games this year."
Scott picked up an offer while camping at Florida in June and said he will likely visit UF for a game this year as well.
"I love the coaches at Florida," he said. "Every time I go I could just see myself there. I like Florida, I like how they fit me -- I just liked it. I'll probably go see some games at Florida too and maybe UCF."
Scott also is planning other trips -- to Ohio State for the Buckeyes Friday Night Lights camp July 27 and then over to Michigan for the Wolverines Big House Barbecue on July 29. The athletic playmaker said he is looking forward to getting to know more about each program.
"At Ohio State, I'm looking forward to just having fun and getting a good connection with the coaches and just looking at exploring everything and getting to see the campus,” Scott said. “With Michigan, I really don't know much about them because it's so far away. I'm just looking forward to going up there and checking them out and seeing what they have to offer."
Scott, who totaled 1,158 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns on 54 receptions as a sophomore, says he has no plans to narrow down his list of schools.
