TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Four-star defensive end Tim Williams (Baton Rouge, La./University Laboratory School) made his way to the campus of Florida State for the first time Friday.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound ESPN 150 prospect went through all the drills for the morning session before heading into the stadium to check out the facilities.
"This is my first day out here and so this was my first time to meet them in person," Williams explained. "Jimbo Fisher came and talked to me, Coach Eliot and the other position coaches.
"It was pretty good. Coach Eliot taught me a lot about technique. I learned a lot."
With August looming large on the horizon, Williams is shutting down his summer visit plans as Jimbo Fisher Camp ends.
Up next is the structuring of official visits during the fall for regular-season games. And the Seminoles are on the short list.
"No more visits this summer, strictly official visits," he said.
"It is something that I will still workout, but Florida State and Miami are recruiting me the hardest, so I will for sure be going to see those guys. And LSU."
Williams is ranked as the No. 28 player overall for the class of 2013.
