FSU scouts point guard Justin Coleman

Justin Coleman (Birmingham, Ala./John Carroll Catholic) lies in the heart of SEC territory.

And having offers from the likes of Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Radford, Tennessee and UAB, it makes sense geographically for the 2014 point guard.

Florida State, the reigning ACC champion, traveled to check out Coleman at a tournament two weeks ago. The 5-foot-10, 155-pound guard says he would definitely be interested in the Seminoles.

"I like Florida State and I liked the way they ran the offense and the way their players play," he said. "They rely on their point guard a lot. That's what I like about them the most.

"I think I would be very interested if Florida State came and offered me."

Coleman believes he performed well enough to make an impression because of his ability to run the point.

"I think my ball handling and the way I run the offense," he said of why he thinks FSU could be interested in him. "I can see the court and my vision is good, I think that impressed them a lot."

The Alabama point guard said he would like to take a couple of unofficial visits this fall, but hasn't planned them out in detail. Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee are the favorites to get Coleman on campus during the next few months.
