Quarterback DeShaun Watson (Gainesville, Ga./Gainesville) has been committed to Clemson since February.
But that hasn't stopped other schools from offering the 6-foot-2, 175-pound junior, including Florida State. Maybe it's his latest news, an offer to play in the 2012 Rising Seniors Georgia Junior Bowl. Maybe it's his early invite to the 2014 Under Armour All-America Game.
Regardless of the reason, one of the offers that stands out for Watson is from the Seminoles.
“It meant a lot to get an offer from FSU,” Watson said. “I have been keeping up with their recruiting lately and they have been bringing in some big time players. Last year they got one of the top quarterbacks in the nation in Jameis Winston.
"I told Coach (Dameyune) Craig I am going to come down for a game to check out the city, the campus and just learn more about FSU. I am going to be very interested in them. They told me they really want me to come for the Clemson game, so I have to check my schedule and see if I can get it worked out.”
