Speedy athlete Myles Autry (Norcross, Ga./Norcross) found out about his fifth offer Tuesday afternoon.
The 6-foot, 175-pound prospect received a text message from one of his high school coaches that Florida State was now firmly interested in recruiting him.
"I like the school a lot," Autry said of FSU. "They will be in the top group of schools that I love. I went to go visit earlier this summer and I got to meet all the coaches, the coaching staff. I talked to [Defensive Ends] Coach [D.J.] Eliot the whole time. They told me that they love the way they play. They had a meeting and my name popped up multiple times.
"They told my coach. My coach then texted me earlier today."
The Seminoles now join programs including Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Penn State to offer.
Florida State, though, seems to have secured a visit this fall at a date to be determined.
"I am definitely going to come on an unofficial visit this year," he said. "I will definitely be back to watch them play."
Autry isn't planning on making a decision too quickly. About to start his junior season, he says it will be likely at least another year before he is ready to commit.
"Somewhere in my senior year," said Autry. "I don't think it will be too early."
