ESPN 150 defensive back Leon McQuay III's visit to Florida State was clouded in a bit of uncertainty in terms of whether it would be for an official or unofficial visit.
His father, Leon McQuay Jr., cleared that up on Tuesday morning.
"We're going to FSU-Clemson this weekend and it's going to be an unofficial visit," he said.
Vanderbilt and Michigan will each get official visits in October and Oregon and USC appear likely to get him on campus later in the year. Whether McQuay ever takes an official visit to Tallahassee remains to be seen.
"We're going to see how things go this weekend before deciding whether to schedule an official," McQuay's father said. "Coach [Lawrence] Dawsey is trying to set Leon up with a tour of the music department so he can see what the school has to offer in that area."
ESPN ranks McQuay as the No. 40 prospect overall in the country.
