With the arrival of the New Year, the University of Georgia will soon welcome the arrival of three very talented athletes to the football team. DawgNation caught up with one of them, five-star running back Keith Marshall (Millbrook, N.C./Millbrook), to find out more about the face of the Bulldogs’ 2012 recruiting class, one he has coined the “Ring Team.”
What impressed you the most during your visit to Athens?
Keith Marshall: “I really liked the student recreation center as well as the dorm rooms that the football players stay in.”
Other than UGA where did you have the best experience during your visits?
KM: “I had a good time everywhere but I had a great visit to Clemson.”
What school recruited you the hardest overall?
KM: “UGA, Florida, & Clemson towards the end.”
What school did you grow up rooting for, and who was your favorite player?
KM: “In elementary school I liked Michigan but then I switched to UGA after I saw Knowshon Moreno play. My favorite players were Reggie Bush & Adrian Peterson.”
What was the weirdest thing that happened or you heard during your recruitment?
KM: “People I do not know sending things to my house asking for me to sign stuff.”
What is your favorite TV show/movie of all time?
KM: “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
What is something interesting about you that most people do not know?
KM: “I love to fish.”
If you are not playing football, what would you be doing?
KM: “I would be going to college as a business major.”
What is your goal for your time at UGA?
KM: “Be a part of championships, be the best player I can be, make Academic All-Conference, and be a positive representation of UGA football.”
