ATLANTA -- Under Armour's senior basketball manager Ted Gladue put on a great event as the Atlanta Grind Session, held at Marist High School, provided a great opportunity to evaluate some outstanding players in a unique setting that focused on skill development.
Conner Frankamp (Wichita, Kan./North)
2013, PG/SG, 6-foot, 165 pounds
Frankamp, who was the most impressive player on the day, has an advanced skill level and a great feel for the game. The Kansas commitment’s size and true position has been a concern for some evaluators, but there are no reservations here. He handled the ball versus pressure, made good decisions and showed an excellent command utilizing the ball screen. His ability to shoot the basketball with consistency and range had the gym buzzing during the scrimmage periods. Look for a significant bump in the rankings if he is able to continue playing at this level during the summer.
