BATON ROUGE, La. -- The SEC did LSU no favors with its 2013 schedule.
LSU's two Eastern Division opponents for the 2013 season will be Florida (in Baton Rouge) and Georgia (in Athens, Ga.), giving the Tigers one of the toughest paths in the conference.
The Tigers also have to play at Alabama, meaning it could play three top 10 teams from the SEC. It's similar to this season when the Tigers played South Carolina and Florida out of the East.
LSU will continue to play Arkansas on Thanksgiving weekend with a Nov. 30 game. Texas A&M will visit Baton Rouge on Nov. 23.
LSU released its complete 2013 schedule, which also included non-conference games against TCU (at the Cowboys Classic in Arlington, Texas), Kent State, Alabama-Birmingham and Furman. The Tigers will play seven home games.
