LSU and Texas A&M are the finalists for Ricky Seals-Jones (Sealy, Texas/Sealy), and while dates haven’t been set in stone, the ESPN 150 receiver said he knows when he wants to take his official visits to both schools.
Seals-Jones, the nation’s top-ranked receiver, said he would like to visit LSU on Nov. 3, when the Tigers host Alabama. He added that he would like to visit Texas A&M on Oct. 20 -- when the Aggies host LSU.
“I’m definitely visiting those two [schools] before a decision is made,” Seals-Jones said, “and those are the two games I want to see.”
Seals-Jones said he’s still working out plans to finalize both trips, but he will be making mental notes of the game-day atmospheres of both schools in addition to how each offense runs. Seals-Jones said he also wants to have a nice feel for each campus and have the opportunity to connect with both coaching staffs and potential teammates.
Health wise, Seals-Jones, a multipurpose athlete for Sealy, is on schedule to return to the field for Sealy’s game against Columbus, Texas, on Oct. 26. He sustained a dislocated knee while making a tackle on Sept. 6 in an ESPNU-televised game against Houston St. Pius X.
