Michigan linebacker Marell Evans hasn't played football since 2008. He missed one season because he didn't play at all. He missed 2010 when he transferred but didn't play football at Hampton.
Then this season, due to transfer rules, he ended up ineligible the entire season. Michigan had inquired about a sixth year for Evans, but he didn't get it. But it looks like he'll get one more shot.
Evans is scheduled to play in the NFLPA Collegiate All-Star Game on Jan. 21 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The game's staff made the announcement on Twitter on Friday afternoon although he wasn't listed on the roster on the game's Website yet.
In Evans' last season actually playing, 2008, he played in 10 games for Michigan and started one at linebacker. He made four tackles that season and had a half-sack.
He is the seventh Michigan player to be announced to play in an All-Star game this postseason.
