Michigan continued its recent success with Detroit Cass Tech players as 2013 defensive back Jourdan Lewis has committed to play for the Wolverines.

Cass Tech has been good to Michigan, providing such players as Will Campbell, Delonte Hollowell, Thomas Gordon and most recently Terry Richardson and Royce Jenkins-Stone in the 2012 signing class. Richardson, a cornerback, and Jenkins-Stone, a linebacker, were both members of the ESPNU 150

Lewis is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound cornerback who grew up a fan of Michigan and decided that the time was right. He is the third defensive back from Cass Tech to pick Michigan in as many years, and is the second defensive back for Michigan in the 2013 class, joining safety Dymonte Thomas.

Lewis displayed tremendous athleticism in his junior season and will help fill a need for the Wolverines at cornerback. He’ll be reunited with Richardson as part of a secondary that helped Cass Tech win a state title in 2011.
