Clark waives hearing, pretrial date set

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan sophomore defensive end Frank Clark pleaded not guilty to a second degree felony home invasion charge while waiving a preliminary hearing Monday morning in Michigan’s 14th District Court.

Clark, who allegedly stole a Macbook Air laptop from a Stockwell Hall dorm room in June, was bonded over to the Washtenaw County Circuit Court in downtown Ann Arbor. Clark, a Cleveland native, remains suspended from the Wolverines’ football team.

He is next due in court for a pretrial hearing on Sept. 11 at 1:30 p.m.

The Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office also asked for a no contact provision with an individual to be added to the bond condition.

After the hearing, Clark’s attorney, Douglas Lewis, offered no comment other than saying “Come on guys, you know better, I don’t talk.”
