Big 12 Week 4 bowl projections: West Virginia rises after perfect out-of-league finish

Finally, a week without major carnage in the Big 12 pecking order. And yes, perhaps it's a result of the light schedule, with four programs -- including Oklahoma and Texas -- on the sideline before diving into league play with big tests in Week 5.

Regardless, the calm before the next storm featured four Big 12 victories out of conference, including a 35-32 win by West Virginia over BYU at FedEx Field that elevated the profile of the Mountaineers, who are unblemished in nonleague games for the third time in six years under coach Dana Holgorsen.

The league's lone loss in Week 4 came in Waco, Texas, where No. 16 Baylor, the other Big 12 unbeaten, handed Oklahoma State its second defeat.
