It was a long weekend for Oklahoma safety commit Eric Striker (Seffner, Fla./Armwood), but a satisfying one.
With Armwood playing Thursday, Striker was able to make his official visit to OU on the weekend.
“It was real good. The coaches showed me a lot of love, and it made me feel like part of the family,” he said.
Striker (6-foot, 190 pounds), a three-star prospect, had previously visited the campus once, participating in the summer camp at OU. He said this second visit helped him realize he is definitely making the right decision.
Striker said meeting OU coach Bob Stoops for the first time and watching Saturday’s game against Texas Tech from the sidelines were the highlights of the visit.
“It was good to meet all the coaches. I felt real comfortable with everything,” Striker said. “Watching them warm up, it makes you realize how you have to be dedicated 100 percent of the time.
“You have to want to play and be ready to play at all times. Losses happen every now and then. You learn from them and move on.”
