Oklahoma and Oklahoma State is called Bedlam, and it certainly was in OU’s 51-48 overtime victory against its in-state rival.
A thrilling win that led to a memorable atmosphere for in-state recruits who were in attendance.
“That was the best game I’ve seen in person,” said 2014 safety Steven Parker (Jenks, Okla./Jenks), who has offers from both schools.
Parker said he thought about committing but held off on making the announcement. One in-state recruit with offers from both schools reaffirmed his decision to pick the Sooners.
Watch List running back Devon Thomas (Broken Arrow, Okla./Broken Arrow) committed to OU last weekend and had a chance to talk to OU coaches Cale Gundy and Bob Stoops for the first time in person since the commitment.
The Sooners already have five in-state commits for their 2013 class and are looking to add another one. Linebacker Jordan Evans (Norman, Okla./North), who has seen every OU home game this season, was officially offered by Bob Stoops before the game Saturday.
Evans’ father played for the Sooners, but Jordan said he is going to take his time and keep his focus on his senior season. Coincidentally, Evans and Parker will square off in that game as Norman North takes on Jenks for the championship Friday night.
