BEAVERTON, Ore. -- ESPN 150 wide receiver Laquon Treadwell (Crete, Ill./Crete Monee) hasn't set a date for his commitment and says it could come anytime.
There has been recent buzz that the 6-foot-3, 195-pound senior is close to making a decision but that does not seem to be the case.
"I'm not committing this weekend, I don't really have a date for a commitment planned," Treadwell said. "I'll make my decision on a random day. I don't have a timetable set up."
Treadwell said his top four schools are Michigan, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Michigan State. He's been on unofficial visits to Michigan and Michigan State and isn't sure if he'll take unofficial visits to the Oklahoma schools. However, Treadwell added that he could see himself committing to a program before taking the visit.
"For me it all comes down to the position coach, the coaching staff and my comfort level with the program," Treadwell said. "As long as I feel like I have a good relationship with the coaches I don't have to see the program before my official."
In the meantime the nation's 38th-ranked prospect is having a great time at The Opening and he's been targeted by several committed prospects.
"I'm hearing from Shane Morris, Jourdan Lewis, Ty Isaac and pretty much the whole Notre Dame crew," Treadwell said. "I'm still open. I am interested in Notre Dame, too, but I just don't have a close relationship with the coaches yet."
Treadwell doesn't seem to mind the rumors or the speculation about his recruitment. Instead he's having fun and enjoying the competition in Oregon.
"This is a great place to be, everything is real nice and there is a lot great competition," Treadwell said. "You have to be ready to work when you get here because these guys won't give you a break.
"But it's a blessing to be here, it's a blessing to be wanted by these programs. There are a lot of guys that could be here so I'm happy to make it."
