Triple Option: Two new 2014 offers

Every weekday morning, a member of the SoonerNation gives his take on three things happening in the Sooner sports world.

1. Oklahoma offered two 2014 receivers this weekend after both had strong performances at the Sooners' summer camp. Nick Alexander (Lancaster, Texas/Lancaster) and K.D. Cannon(Mount Pleasant, Texas/Mount Pleasant) stood out among the slew of campers and caught the attention of the OU coaches. Cannon told SoonerNation's Brandon Chatmon on Tuesday night that he was overwhelmed by the OU offer.

2. Ricky Seals-Jones, the nation's No. 1 receiver and the top-ranked prospect in the state of Texas, surprised everyone on Tuesday night when he decommitted from the Longhorns. Seals-Jones, who has an offer from the Sooners, apparently wants to play basketball in college and there's a possibility that he might quit football altogether. It's a huge loss for Texas who has one of the top recruiting classes in the country.

3. OU receiver signee Courtney Gardner is apparently inching closer to making it to Oklahoma this summer. Gardner, who needed to pass six spring classes and two summer classes in order to become eligible to play this fall, tweeted optimistic news on Tuesday afternoon. If he makes it to campus in July, it's huge news for the Sooners, who are in dire need of skill and experience at wideout.
