Brandon Arnold staying patient

It's not hard to see why Brandon Arnold (Encino, Calif./Crespi Carmelite) holds the Oregon football program in such high regard. Hroniss Grasu, Bryan Bennett and Blake Stanton are all Crespi alums currently on the Ducks roster.

The Ducks recent run of success on the field and in the NFL draft doesn't hurt either.

"I love everything about Oregon. The area is nice, the academics fit what I want to do, they have an elite program that wins a lot of games and puts their defensive backs in the NFL," Arnold said. "Some of my Crespi guys are up there already and they all love the choice they made to attend Oregon."

With 11 offers from the likes of California, Michigan State and Oregon State, Arnold remains patient as schools like Oregon and Wisconsin keep in regular contact with the 5-foot-11, 190-pound safety.

"At this point I'm hearing from all the schools that have offered me, plus Boise St, Oregon, Wisconsin, Arizona St and Washington. If they all offered me it would be tough to choose but Oregon is the one I'd really like to get," Arnold said. "I talk to Coach [John] Neal every week and he is honest with me and says they just need to see me in person before they can offer."

Arnold put on a solid showing at the Los Angeles NFTC, showing off the versatility that Oregon likes about him.

"They like that I can do a number of different things on the field. It just seems like a perfect fit. They like to move guys around and play fast," Arnold said. "If they were to offer it would be hard not to commit right on the spot since they are my top school. I'd want to but I'd have to talk it over with my family first."
