ESPN 300 defensive end Davin Bellamy (Chamblee, Ga./Chamblee) is one day away from announcing where he will attend college. He recently returned from an official visit to Oregon after having taken visits to Tennessee and Georgia. After visiting the Bulldogs, Bellamy decommitted from Florida State and named Georgia his leader. On Monday night, he consented to answer some questions that were submitted by people on Twitter. Be sure to follow him at @DavinBellamy17.
Nick @godawgs924: What time is your decision coming on Wednesday?
Davin Bellamy: Probably around 12:00 p.m. We always do something in the library. Four other kids and I are signing and I will probably go last.
Brett Rittenberry @Ritt007: How would it feel to run through the Power T wearing this jersey [photo of a Tennessee Volunteers jersey]?
DB: Considering that Tennessee does have the biggest stadium in the SEC, I think that would be a special moment. I don’t think any other school can compare to the crowd volume of running out into a stadium with 105,000 diehard fans. That would be a very special opportunity.
Ben Lane @benjtlane: Does Oregon have a legit shot? Seems like you could get early playing time there.
DB: I think after my trip to Oregon with their facilities, their uniforms and the way they used Dion Jordan Jordan last year, they do have a legitimate chance. I see that on film they would line him up everywhere, sometimes even blitzing him from the DB spot. The scheme they have set up had Jordan getting a lot of free sacks without being touched. That really stood out to me. They are a little bit far away from home but sometimes it is good to go to a place with less distractions.
Lorri Cable @LorriCable: If not football, what career would you choose?
DB: I am going to school for broadcasting communications. So I definitely want to be a sports anchor. But I was a heck of a basketball player too so if I wasn’t playing football I would either be a sports analyst or a basketball player. I was a small forward and I played shooting guard.
John Forsyth @johnforsyth09: I think u could be the best pass rushers of all time. What in your opinion gives you the edge and strikes fear in quarterbacks?
DB: When I am pass-rushing, I am relentless. I never give up on the play. Also my quick start off the ball -- a lot of people tell me it is one of the quickest they have ever seen. For me, when that ball is hiked, something just snaps and I just go. So it is my motor and definitely my first step.
Flako L Fuerte @PanamaSkarz: Which defensive end in the NFL or college football do you pattern your style of play after?
Chris Bobo @ChrisBobo1: Do you see yourself as a better linebacker or defensive end?
DB: With my skill set I think I could thrive at both, but I definitely think with all my athletic ability that I am better as an outside linebacker, especially because as an outside linebacker you can rush in from everywhere. So a 4-3 or 3-4 defense, I think I could thrive in both of them.
