Instead, the 6-foot-1, 205-pound Lee made a name for himself by recording a 35-inch vertical leap in the morning.
Being recruited as an athlete, Lee was in Bell’s group and matched him step for step.
"We had a pretty good group for wide receivers and cornerbacks,” Lee said. “It was fun. It was very competitive. Vonn Bell and I went at it. We go way back. I know him from when I used to live in Tennessee.
"I didn’t want to lose. He didn’t want to lose. He was going to push me in everything. I was going to push him in everything. He did pretty well. I guess I did, too."
Lee will likely find out this week if an offer is coming, but the 2013 recruit knows he has the interest of the Ohio State coaching staff after Sunday.
"It was a great experience," Lee said. "I learned a lot from Coach [Kerry] Coombs and coach [Everett] Withers. They gave me some good tips and great feedback."
All that’s left is an offer as Lee continues to pile up interest.
"It would be huge,” Lee said. “When I lived in Tennessee, Coach [Urban] Meyer was a household name. I was like, ‘Would I play for Florida [where Meyer used to coach]?’ You think about those things as a kid growing up."
