It didn’t take long for the next big name out of Cleveland Glenville to get a big offer.
Marshon Lattimore -- who previously had an offer from Toledo and interest from Michigan, Akron and Illinois -- scored a huge offer No. 2 when Ohio State stepped to the plate.
Glenville coach Ted Ginn Sr. confirmed the offer Monday via text message.
With 17 Glenville recruits having headed to Ohio State in the last 11 years, Lattimore was a natural offer for the Buckeyes, given the way the 6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver started his junior season.
Lattimore kicked off his fall with a touchdown in a 42-14 loss to St. Edward, and then showed more glimpses of the future in a 40-17 upset win this past weekend over Solon.
He hauled in three touchdown receptions, scored another one on an 80-yard run and added a two-point conversion for good measure. His touchdown receptions against Solon went for 35, 34 and 41 yards. Lattimore finished the evening with six catches for 132 yards and rushed six times for 107 yards.
