Urban Meyer looks like he wants to try and pry another top-flight recruit from his old stomping ground.
Ohio State, along with Boise State, has offered Florida State commit Jake McCrary (Miami/Coral Reef), and for good reason.
Ranked the No. 4 player in the Miami-Dade County top 25 by the Miami Herald, the 6-foot, 183-pound wide receiver is one of the top recruits in the class of 2014.
He runs a 4.65 in the 40, but is deceptively quick as Hialeah Garden found out in Week 1 of the high school football season.
McCrary caught one pass for 58 yards and had three punt returns for touchdowns.
He also has offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Kansas State, LSU, Marshall, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, South Florida and UCLA. There’s interest coming from Oregon, Miami and Wisconsin.
As a sophomore, McCrary had 19 catches for 450 yards and added seven touchdowns.
