2014 CB Tony Brown gets Ohio State offer

On Sunday, Ohio State continued to bolster what it hopes will be an incredible secondary, dipping into the 2014 class with an offer to Tony Brown (Beaumont, Texas/Ozen).

At cornerback, the 6-foot-0, 179-pound Brown is picking up all sorts of attention, grabbing an offer from Notre Dame last week to go with offers from Rutgers and Illinois.

He already has picked up an early invitation to play in the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl and has schools such as Alabama, LSU, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and UCLA after him.

Brown is among the fastest players in the class, posting a 4.34 in the 40-yard dash at Texas’ camp in June.

“It means a lot that a school that is that good with great players is looking at me,” Browns said of the Buckeyes. “I’m honored to get an offer so early.”

ESPN 150 cornerbacks Eli Woodard (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) and Cam Burrows (Trotwood, Ohio/Trotwood-Madison) are already verbally committed to the Buckeyes in the 2013 class.
