The Ohio State-Michigan game sits a little over a month away, but the Buckeyes stoked the fire just a little bit when they offered Gareon Conley (Massillon, Ohio/Washington).
The ESPN 150 cornerback -- he’s ranked 61st in the nation and ninth at his position -- has been a Wolverines commit since March 10, but that didn’t stop Ohio State from offering.
The senior confirmed the offer via text message.
Conley, who is also being pursued by Oregon, has the speed Urban Meyer is looking for on the edge, but he is also toying with the possibility of becoming a wide receiver at the next level.
He said he doesn’t have a position preference during an interview at his American Family Insurance Under Armour jersey presentation Thursday, but his numbers are becoming hard to ignore.
