Ohio State always has its eyes on the future, which is why Urban Meyer went back to a place he knows well and offered two underclassmen from Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian on Tuesday.
Both had incredible seasons for the Conquerors and are already generating a buzz in recruiting circles.
Ford came into his own this season to lead 9-2 Trinity Christian in catches (45), receiving yards (643) and touchdowns (13).
Holland made 25 tackles and had 4½ sacks as a linebacker/safety to go along with an interception, fumble recovery and blocked punt.
Holland will almost certainly put up incredible numbers next season on offense as well after being used as a complement alongside Florida commit and ESPN 150 running back Nick Washington (72 carries, 738 yards, 10 touchdowns).
Still, Holland’s 611 yards on 79 carries -- a 7.7 per carry average -- and five touchdowns were enough to move the meter of college coaches.
Throw in Georgia State commit and Conquerors quarterback Oshay Carter, who toted the ball 62 times for 257 yards and five scores, and Holland’s numbers look even better.
Ford currently has offers from Cincinnati, Florida International, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Ohio State, South Carolina, UCF, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.
