NASCAR offense gets the green light

Penn State's offense wasn't supposed to be this good.

The Nittany Lions lost 10 offensive starters during the offseason, and this team was expected to struggle. Instead, Bill O'Brien implemented a new offense -- including that trademark up-tempo, no-huddle scheme -- and his squad now appears among the best in the Big Ten.

PSU has scored at least 35 points in its first three conference games, and O'Brien said he adds more plays to this scheme every week. The first-year coach didn't invent this scheme or even come up with the NASCAR name, but it sure looks as if he's perfected it for Penn State.
