Aggies will host Davie, Lobos in 2013

It appears former Texas A&M defensive coordinator Bob Davie will be returning to College Station with his new team, New Mexico.

ESPN.com has learned through an open records request to Texas A&M that the Lobos have an agreement to travel to College Station on Nov. 16, 2013, to play the Aggies.

Davie, the former Notre Dame head coach and ESPN analyst, was the outside linebackers coach at Texas A&M from 1985 to 1988 and was the school’s defensive coordinator from 1989 until 1993, when he left to become the defensive coordinator at Notre Dame.

In return for traveling with no return game, New Mexico will receive $1 million according to the agreement, which will be due by March 31, 2014. If the game is canceled by either side, that school will pay $1 million in compensation. The agreement for the game also calls for the Mountain West Conference will be responsible for assigning and paying the officials for the game.
