Texas cornerback target Cole Luke took part in the UA Sevens event in Chandler, Ariz. The event featured several top defensive backs.
Nick Ruland caught up with Luke:
A player who could perhaps fill out an even more impressive frame than Ortiz is four-star Cole Luke (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton). Luke, the nation's No. 29 cornerback, said his top schools are Cal, Nebraska, Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas and Oklahoma, all of which have offered. Luke's taken unofficial visits to ASU and Texas, but has a clear idea of one of the biggest distinguishing factors in his decision -- program stability.
"If the coaching staff is sold, if people are going to be there and no one is leaving, I'm going to go there," Luke said.
Luke, 6 feet and 165 pounds, seems to have an idea of a school that he perceived would offer that stability.
"Texas," Luke said. "I like them a lot right now."
