AUSTIN, Texas -- Heralded junior college defensive end Denico Autry (Scooba, Miss./East Mississippi Community College) has set a date for an official visit to Texas, according to DawgNation’s Kipp Adams.
According to Adams, Autry will visit Texas for the Nov. 19 game against Kansas State in the Longhorns’ last home game. He has also set official visits to Florida (Nov. 25) and Oklahoma State (Dec. 2).
Autry (6-foot-6, 250 pounds), who has dozens of offers from across the country, would be a huge boost for the Longhorns, who are looking to add at least one more defensive end to the fold for their 2012 recruiting class.
They have extended offers to some of the top DE’s in the country in Mario Edwards (Denton, Texas/Ryan), Javonte Magee (San Antonio, Texas/Sam Houston), Arik Armstead (Elk Grove, Calif./Pleasant Grove) and Torshiro Davis (Shreveport, La./Woodlawn).
