AUSTIN, Texas -- The Longhorns would have a very good chance at landing junior college defensive tackle Brandon Moore (Scooba, Miss./East Mississippi Community College) if they want him, according to EMCC coach Buddy Stephens.
Moore, who signed with Alabama out of Montgomery (Ala.) Carver High School in 2009, has a really good relationship with Texas defensive tackles coach Bo Davis, who was on the Crimson Tide’s staff at the time Moore signed.
“I know that if that is the way Texas wants to go, then Brandon Moore will be all over it,” Stephens said. “He wants to play for Bo Davis. I don’t know where Texas is with an offer, but it they do [offer Moore] he will be at the University of Texas.”
Stephens wasn’t sure if Moore would take an official visit to Austin this weekend. But EMCC defense end Denico Autry told HornsNation on Sunday that it was a possibility. Autry mentioned that he was going to try and take an official visit with Moore this weekend as well, but wasn’t sure if that would be possible. Autry, who holds an offer from Texas, could take an official visit to Florida.
Moore chose the Crimson Tide over offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Memphis, Mississippi, Mississippi State, SMU and Tennessee. He took official visits in high school to Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Tennessee.
