Each week, HornsNation will rank Texas' top 10 performers of the season up to this point:
1. QB David Ash
Back-to-back 300-yard games has allowed the coaches and players to start to believe in him.
2. S Kenny Vaccaro
He was juked pretty badly on the 69-yard touchdown run but came back with a big interception and is vital to any success Texas will have on defense against West Virginia.
3. WR Jaxon Shipley
So precise in his routes that no one can cover him. Plus he has the hands to make every catch.
4. WR Mike Davis
Finally has become the deep threat many thought he would be after his freshman season.
5. OL Trey Hopkins
The most consistent blocker on the offensive line.
6. WR/RB Daje Johnson
Might have only had 45 yards receiving but he turned nothing into something time after time and keeps the defense on its heels.
7. DE Jackson Jeffcoat
While the interior of the defense was extremely suspect the two defensive ends were solid.
8. RB Johnathan Gray
Stepped up and proved that he could fill the role of Malcolm Brown. He had five rushes for 45 yards on the second-to-last scoring drive.
9. DE Alex Okafor
Had a sack and will be needed on the edge to keep Geno Smith contained.
10. WR Marquise Goodwin
Reliable on third down and kept the drives going in the first half.
