CHANDLER, Ariz. -- The presence of two other four-star cornerbacks in USC's limited recruiting class has not prevented Cole Luke (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) from including the Trojans in his top four. USC may not be leading, but Luke still hasn't ruled out Los Angeles as his landing spot.
"Right now it's Texas, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and a little bit of USC," Luke said, "I'm taking some visits soon and hopefully I'll come down to a decision before the end of the season."
With four-star prospects Jalen Ramsey (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) and Chris Hawkins (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Rancho Cucamonga) on board, USC appears set at cornerback. Luke could emerge as a solid backup option if either Ramsey or Hawkins decided to look elsewhere.
"It's USC. It pretty much explains itself," Luke said. "There's a lot of tradition over there and they're doing great the last two years.
Luke will visit Texas on the weekend of Oct. 6 for the West Virginia game, and also has trips to Oklahoma and Notre Dame planned.
"Everything about [Texas] is great," Luke said. "The cornerbacks coach, coach [Duane] Akina -- they are known as DB University -- so he sends them to the league a lot. And that's not including the academics. Academics are great over there."
Luke said he did not know whether he'd take an official visit to USC, but added, "there's probably one coming."
