USC prospects in updated ESPN rankings

The updated ESPN 150 rankings were released today and the most recent rankings expanded to include the top 300 players in the country.

Here are some thoughts on the USC prospects in the rankings:

* USC has eight commits and all eight players are in the top 300 (highest rank is Kenny Bigelow at No. 9, lowest is Justin Davis at No. 177).

* None of the USC commits moved drastically on the list from the initial rankings. Bigelow, Max Browne (No. 12) and Su'a Cravens (No. 14) each moved up a spot, Ty Isaac (No. 70) and Chris Hawkins (No. 71) each went down two spots. Kylie Fitts had the biggest leap, going up three spots from No. 90 to No. 87.

* Eldridge Massington sits outside the ESPN 150 at No. 163 but he has an ESPN number grade of 83, the same grade as the No. 117 ranked player on the list.

* The Trojans have made a strong recruiting run this year at the top five prospects on the ESPN 150, all from the southeast area. Don’t be surprised if the Trojans get official visits from multiple players in that group.
