Storylines from Monday practice

It was an “extra” practice today as the Trojans held a Monday morning session in full pads to prepare for Saturday's game at Washington.

On the injury front, the following players were out or limited: OUT -- DaJohn Harris (ankle), LIMITED – Jawanza Starling, Hayes Pullard, Dion Bailey, Marc Tyler, Marqise Lee, Robert Woods. George Farmer got in some light running in full pads.

In a 9-on-7 drill, Lamar Dawson had a nice fill on an Amir Carlisle run. D.J. Morgan fumbled and it was recovered by Shane Horton.

In service team drills, Dion Bailey had a pick off John Manoogian.

In the team drill, Carlisle fumbled on the first play. Nickell Robey had a pick off Matt Barkley, who was trying to hit Nic Curry.

Lane Kiffin talked about Robert Woods' lingering ankle injury and its impact on the passing game: “Robert isn’t able to practice all the time, so the timing between him and Matt can be affected.”

Kiffin praised Lamar Dawson: “He is a great student; very, very sharp. He picks things up quickly.”

Kiffin, on a rivalry with Sarkisian and Washington: “This isn’t about me and Sark. This was a game we could’ve won last year and we’ve had to wait a year to get a chance to redeem ourselves.”

Kiffin, on possibility of winning Pac-12: “Sure, we’d like to win it. If we are still able to win the South title, even if we can’t go to the title game, it would be a nice thing to have happen for this team.”
