LOS ANGELES -- Maryland offensive line transfer Max Garcia (6-foot-4, 310 pounds) was on USC's campus yesterday and stopped by USC practice.
Originally from Norcross HS in Georgia, Garcia started all 12 games at left tackle for Maryland as a sophomore. He will sit out the upcoming season and then have two years of eligibility remaining. One month ago, Garcia had Georgia out front, along with Florida, and trips planned to Mississippi and Clemson as well. Distance could be a factor for Garcia, who has mentioned that he would like to be closer to home, but Lane Kiffin and staff will certainly recruit him hard as they look to add another talented body to the offensive line.
